Teen Judicial Board/Committee

The Teen Judicial Board will be comprised of the Teen Advisory Board. The board is presided over by the Teen Advisory Board Chair. Proceedings will be witnessed by the Regional Director and Regional Teen Advisor, and if necessary, other Regional Officers.


ALL OFFENSES MUST BE REPORTED TO THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR.
Infractions of the Regional Code of Ethics and Local laws will be considered as follows:
Minor Offense (Misdemeanor)

Offenses should be reported to the Teen Judicial Board Chairperson. The Board Chairperson should give basic recommendations to the Teen's sponsor.
Recommended penalties:
Letter of apology by the offender to the Region. This letter should be submitted to the Regional Director, signed by the Teen and Chapter Sponsor.

Reprimand by Teen Sponsor.



Note: Minor Offenses include the following: Texting or sleeping in Plenary Sessions, inappropriate dress, inappropriate dancing, “accidental” profanity (i.e. a slip of the tongue).
After the second minor offense, the Teen will appear before the Judicial Board and may be subjected to non-attendance at the next conference or must be accompanied by his/her mother and/or father to the next conference.

Major Offense

Fighting, Hitting, Spitting, Property Damage, Profanity Directed at a Peer, Sponsor or an Adult, Leaving the Premises, In a Closed Room with Member of the Opposite Sex offenses should be reported to the Teen Judicial Board Chairperson and the Teen Judicial Board should meet. The Judicial Board through the Board Chairperson should give basic recommendations to the Teen offender and his/her sponsor.

Letter of apology by the offender to the Region. This letter should be submitted to the Regional Director, signed by the Teen and chapter sponsor


Reprimand by the Regional Director - a letter will be sent to the chapter of the Teen(s) involved.
Notification to the offender's parents.
Major offenses will be recorded in the conference minutes.

Dismissal from the Conference at parents' expense. Region will incur expense to send Teen home but parents will be responsible for immediate reimbursement.

The cost of sending a teen home becomes an automatic financial assessment to the mother. Jack and Jill Bylaws stipulate that meeting financial obligations, including this type, is a requirement of membership.
Special Note
Any teen found guilty of the following actions --


  • Harm or damage to any individual or property.

  • Created a major disruption in the productivity of the conference.

  • Actions that humiliate, disrespect, or offend any individual….


Will be judged by the Judicial Board and will be subject to disciplinary action by the Regional Director.
