Regional Teen Leadership Committees and Duties

Committees are a vital part of the teen experience and the overall success of Teen Conference.

Each teen registrant is encouraged to serve on a committee as a path to regional leadership.
Teens will have the opportunity to select the committee of their choice during the registration process. Teens are not required to participate; rather, they are encouraged to volunteer. Those who are interested in regional leadership positions should engage at the committee level as an entry point to learning more about the regional operations.

  • Due to the need to balance Committee numbers, the Region reserves the right to reassign teens prior to the conference.

  • Committee assignment will be communicated prior to arrival at Teen Conference. Committee meeting locations will be highlighted in the Teen’s registration package.

  • The Teen Committee Chair under the direction of the Committee Mother Advisor will complete standard committee reports.

  • The committee report should be submitted to the Regional Teen Secretary when the report is presented during the assigned Plenary Session.

  • A copy of all committee reports will be collected by the Teen Conference Page and passed onto the Teen Committee Chair and Teen Regional Secretary for the conference minutes.

2014 Teen Committees Charge

Teen Committees for the 2014 Teen Leadership Conference are listed below. Committee members may be asked to attend 1-2 teleconference planning meetings prior to the conference and an onsite committee meeting on Wednesday afternoon, July 2nd. Please make your selection based on your interest and background. All teens are encouraged to participate. Please note, based on timing of committee meetings, chapter Delegates/Alternates, TAB, and TCB members should not select an additional committee.
