Rules and Regulations Committee


This committee is responsible for developing the Rules and Regulations that will govern the business of the teens during the 2014 Teen Leadership Conference. The chair of the committee will be required to provide a written and oral report during the conference. A copy of the 2013 Rules and Regulations will be provided to committee members for review and evaluation.

This committee is responsible for establishing the 2014-2015 Regional Teen Foundation Goals – including contributions and grants (e.g. a minimum of 2% increase in chapter contribution). This committee is also responsible for identifying innovative ways to educate Teens on the mission of our Foundation throughout the program year.

Teen Leadership Conference Purpose and Objectives

Purpose

The purpose of the 58th Annual Teen Leadership Conference is to create a forum that enables Jack and Jill Teens to engage in leadership development activities, including educational, cultural, recreational and philanthropic programs created for and by the Teens of the Southeastern Region.


Objectives





  1. Provide an opportunity for Teens to interact, network and share ideas regarding issues affecting their development.




  1. Introduce Teens to leadership and personal development skills.




  1. Foster teamwork and communication among chapters in the Southeastern Region.




  1. Provide an opportunity for each chapter to work as a team and to present the talent and skills of their Teens through awards and competition.




  1. Recognize both individual Teen and group achievement.




  1. Provide an opportunity to participate in hands-on community service.



Eligibility Requirements for Teen Attendees

A Teen is eligible to attend the 58th Annual Teen Leadership Conference under the following conditions:



  1. If the Teen was an active member, in good standing, of his/her chapter’s teen group for the prior program year for which per capita was paid, and will be thirteen (13) years of age by June 30, 2014 and,

  2. If the Chapter President and Lead Teen Sponsor agree that the teen has demonstrated behavior, befitting attendance and the teen has agreed to and signed the Teen Code of Ethics.

  3. If the Teen has not reached his/her twentieth (20th) birthday by midnight, June 30, 2014 and,

  4. If the Teen Regional Per Capita tax was sent in for the teen either as part of the local chapter’s financial report for that year, or as part of the local chapter’s report of the new members initiated between the submission of the financial report and the beginning of the annual Teen Regional Leadership Conference.

  5. Once again, Teens that are twelve (12) years of age on June 30, 2014 cannot register or participate in Teen Conference.
