Teen Leadership Awards Program

The chapter and individual competitions should be approached from a Cooperative & Collaborative approach meaning with the goal of building up and making our teens stronger, not with the goal of pounding on the competition and being mean spirited and non-supportive. After all, we are meant to “work, play and live together”, our Jack and Jill Motto forever. To that end, we encourage all teens to participate in something – which is an important step in leadership development.

The Chapter Scrapbook competition which encourages TEENS to document their history and achievements, is back again this year. We welcome traditional photo/paper based books, but we will also return a category for digitally produced books – you will need to have a hardcopy for the judging and display.
The Visual Arts Display, will return not as a judged competition – but rather, as a platform to showcase all of our talented participants. They will be recognized and will receive award certificates. As always, we’ll have our standard Ann Owen Gordon Oratorical Final Competition as well as the usual offerings.
Chapter competitions will include:

Chapter Showcase event: Talent Show

Individual Showcase event: Visual Arts
Individual Portfolio Competitions include:

  • Outstanding Teen

  • Scholastic Achievement

  • Outstanding Leadership

  • Outstanding Female Athlete

  • Outstanding Male Athlete

Participation rules/schedules for the Sports/Game Day activities will be distributed closer to Teen Conference and will be available through your Lead Teen Sponsors and in the Resources section of the Regonline registration website www.regonline.com/58thSERTC.
