This percentage is lower than the European percentage (74% for EU today and 77% for EU before enlargement) but still higher than in many other EU member states such as Hungary, Italy, Check Republic, Latvia. It is also higher than in some candidate states such as Croatia, Turkey and Macedonia.

The same Survey showed that 67.6% of households use desktop computers to access internet at home, 42.1% use lap top and 20% mobile phones.

The named Survey showed another important issues: 56.9% of respondents (out of the number of those that used computer at all) used the computer within 3 months, 71.5% of them used it every day and 90.7% at home.
When it comes to age groups, computers are used by young people24 in Montenegro similarly as in EU (92% in Montenegro, comparing to 94% in EU); 62% of middle age population25 is using computers in Montenegro (comparing to 80% in EU), while the biggest difference exists in the oldest population category (over 55) where the percentage for Montenegro is 13%, while in EU it is 44%.
