NWA WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. STING The Stinger claims his first World Title.

NWA WORLD TITLE: STING vs. BLACK SCORPION The ending only, thank God.

NWA WORLD TITLE: STING vs. RIC FLAIR Ending only; For bailing out WCW by making himself central figure in the worst main event angle ever, Ric is rewarded with a seventh World Title.

ANOTHER MONTAGE covering Flair’s reign. I’ve never heard the song used for this one, but it’s pretty good, whatever it is.

NWA WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. TATSUMI FUJINAMI JIP; The rematch stemming from all the confusing stuff that ultimately turned the NWA and WCW World Titles into separate entities. Find someone else to explain it.

WWF WORLD TITLE, ROYAL RUMBLE: Flair’s hour of glory, joined at about the 30-minute mark at Roddy Piper’s entrance. Flair lasts over an hour to become the WWF World Champ, bringing him up to Reign Number Eight.

WWF WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. “MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE from WrestleMania VIII.

WWF WORLD TITLE: “MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE vs. RIC FLAIR Ric reclaims the World Title (number nine for those keeping score) with the aid of Razor Ramon.

WWF WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. BRET “HIT MAN” HART Ric learns from his doctor that he has to take some time off from wrestling and gives Vince a day’s notice to find a new champion. A former I-C champion stuck in the mid-card ranks for almost a decade gets the nod to be champion, and before anyone can protest, a legend is born, with the aid of another legend. Awesome stuff.

WCW TAG TEAM TITLES: HOLLYWOOD BLONDES vs. RIC FLAIR & ARN ANDERSON Barry Windham costs the Horsemen the titles.

NWA WORLD TITLE: BARRY WINDHAM vs. RIC FLAIR Welcome to double-digits, Nature Boy! Whoooooooo!

A FLAIR FOR THE GOLD with guest Ravishing Rick Rude, who tries to steal a kiss from Slick Ric’s maid, Fifi, and gets slapped for his efforts. Flair gets a good laugh from all this, and Rude attacks him, setting up…

NWA WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. RAVISHING RICK RUDE Rude’s best match ever. Flair drops the NWA title, but WCW no longer recognizes it, or maybe NWA no longer recognizes it, I don’t remember, so officially, Rude wins the WCW International World Belt.

GENE OKERLUND INTERVIEWS RIC FLAIR about his pinfall victory over Vader.

WCW WORLD TITLE: VADER vs. RIC FLAIR Great history going into this match…10 years ago at the first Starrcade, in the same venue, Ric Flair defeated Harley Race for his second World Title; tonight, Race is managing Vader as Flair attempts to win World title #11, and if he doesn’t win the title, Ric Flair will retire. The history and heat was enough to create WCW’s first sellout crowd in ages, and the match doesn’t disappoint…Flair walks away with #11.

WCW WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. RICKY STEAMBOAT Match ends in a double pin, which favors the champion. Flair wants a pin, however, so he demands the title be held up for a rematch…

WCW WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. RICKY STEAMBOAT Flair wins the rematch, and this is where keeping track of Flair’s title reigns gets a little sticky…I personally consider it #12.

WCW WORLD TITLE & WORLD INTERNATIONAL BELT UNIFICATION: RIC FLAIR vs. STING Another sticky one for the record books. I say unifying the titles creates a new lineage, so I call it #13.

CONTRACT SIGNING FOR RIC FLAIR-HULK HOGAN TITLE MATCH We are constantly reminded that this is the first-ever meeting between the two, so keep in mind wrestling’s rule since the dawn of the PPV era…house shows don’t count.

WCW WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. HULK HOGAN Welcome to hell, as WCW officially becomes a Hulkamania wasteland for the next two years. It’s not so bad to start though, as this is actually a reasonably good match.

WCW WORLD TITLE: “MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE vs. RIC FLAIR Slick Ric’s 14th World title win!

WCW WORLD TITLE: RIC FLAIR vs. “MACHO MAN” RANDY SAVAGE Ric drops the title back to Savage a month later.

SHOOT INTERVIEWS

-BILL WATTS Great insight from the man who brought us Mid-South Wrestling. Insight into working as a wrestler is fascinating, but insight into booking is…uh…also fascinating.  Bill offers insights into a variety subjects, including his desire to push black wrestlers, working for WCW, his preference for tough guys who are limited over supertalented workers who whine, and a funny story about Jerry Lawler teaching him the term “blowjobs” for pretty-boy tag teams. A good but sloppily-edited interview from RF Video. Also includes bonus footage: A North American Title match with Terry Funk vs. Watts, and the entire UWF Power Pro Wrestling broadcast where all three titles change hands within the TV hour.

THREE HOURS
-HONKY TONK MAN Probably the most unabashed wrestler doing shoot interviews these days, Honky spouts off on all kinds of topics, like the creation of hardcore wrestling, how a wrestling fan’s surprise gift led to the Elvis gimmick, refusing the lose to Randy Savage on the NBC special, and his opinions on Hogan, Lawler, Savage, Bobby Eaton, Dynamite Kid, and others.
