3.3 Metaphoric explanation of natural and technical production: Production is an inevitable part of the human society. Where there is a human society, there must be a system of production and reproduction in different forms on the basis of individual cultural tradition. Every society initiates the mechanism for producing subsistence based on its own cultural heritage. But when the system of production of a society confronts intellectual attack and mis-explanation, then the system cannot sustain its efficiency to met up the demand of its’ member, not always materially but in the forms of mental dissatisfaction. Karimganj, Inatganj, kakura and villages that surrounded Bibiyana Gas Field, is basically an agriculture based area. The system of agriculture was relied on their own invented form. But when development become fixed as the dream road for the people by the development protagonists, all the traditional forms of production falls in the category of unproductive. Development inducer has created a dual category for system of production. One is productive and another is unproductive. Any systems of production that based on the natural process, has defined as unproductive while any technical procedure for production has been defined as productive. This dichotomous explanation for the production system has ruptured the basement of the traditional human-based production system. Development considers machine and technology, not the human or feelings. When the wave of development didn't reach in this part of Bangladesh, people of the study area used to cultivate their land on the basis of their thousand year's heritage. They used to plough their land with cows and bulls, spade and mostly human's body power. This system of cultivation took a little bit lengthy period to be harvested because nature accomplishes these procedures from its own adjusted capacity. Nature reserves energy for its own sustainability and the rest of the energy was disbursed for the harvesting and rearing nature-based crops. During the harvesting period, there was a scenario of mutual help and arts of collective living. The owner of the land used to invite or request the closer and familiar neighbors or relatives for helping in the crops harvesting and there was arranged different types of ceremony in different season for collective consumption and for presenting reward to those who helped in the production. However, this natural procedure of cultivation has been defined by the development inducer as unproductive because it takes long time, distributes crops to others and cannot offer profits. On the contrary, development claims that mechanical production is productive because it can produce profits. Natural resource and public property, like institutions and organizations seems as unproductive until it being privatized and producing profits. Development induces the use of fertilizers and pesticides for quickening the normal production cycle and the system of production which doesn't use these quickening procedure, seems as unproductive and archaic. The prime assumption of development paradigm regarding productive and unproductive is " nature is unproductive; organic agriculture based on nature's cycle of renewability spells poverty; women and tribal and peasant societies embedded in nature are similarly unproductive, not because it has been demonstrated that in cooperation they produce fewer goods and services for needs, but because it is assumed that production takes place only when mediated by technologies for commodity production, even when such technologies destroy life" (pp-185,Shiva,V, ed by Haen 2006). In this similar way, different agents and inducers always involve in producing knowledge for proving natural production process as unproductive and technological production process as productive.
