| Ethical consideration
Research is a noble discovery. The reliability and integrity of the research findings depend on researcher’s honesty, efforts and transparency. However, ethical consideration of a research work not only based on the researcher’s personal integrity but also on the way of collecting data and maintaining the codes of the research practices. As a juvenile disciple of anthropology, I promise that if any activities proved as against the ethical issues, I will be responsible for this. Among all the ethical considerations, the major concerning issues are mentioned below which will be strictly followed during the proposed research. Departmental and university’s code of research practices will be followed. Plagiarism will be avoided in the research work. Any citation or courtesy will be properly mentioned. Any kind of partiality and biasness will be avoided as much as possible. Researchers’ theoretical and analytical stand will be clearly expressed. During data collection, respondents’ privacy and convenience will be prioritized through informing research’s agenda and objectives and taking consent. Any types of attacking linguistic use will be omitted. Any deceptive activities throughout the research span will be avoided. Chapter-02: Research area and population Research area: This study has been conducted among the people of inatganj union and dighalbak union of nabiganj upazilla of habignaj district of sylhet division. Habiganj district: there are 4 districts included in the sylhet division. Habiganj is one of them which is located at the north-eastern part of bangladesh. Formerly habognaj was known as habibganj and it was enlisted as a part of mymensing,assam and sylhet chronologically. On march 01, habiganj got the recognition as a district under sylhet division. At present habiganj consists of 09 upazilla, 06 municipalities, 54 wards, 78 union parishad, 124 mahallas, 1241 moujhas and 2076 villages. Habiganj is located at 24.3750°n 91.4167°e. Its area is 2,636.58 km² and bounded by sunamganj district to the north, tripura of india and maulvibazar district to the east, balaganj upazila of sylhet to the north-east, brahmanbaria and kishoreganj districts to the west. As per district administration report the total population is 2,089,001 of 926,531 male and 904,022 female (50.6% male and 49.4% female). Among the total population, 80.23% are muslim, 19.12% are hindu, 0.05% are buddhist, 0.13% are christian and 0.47% others. Life expectancy ratio is 56 years both male and female. The rate of literacy among the people of habiganj district is 40.5%. Birth rate: 33.0 per 1,000. Death rate: 11.4 per 1,000. Population growth rate: 21.6 per 1,000. infant mortality rate: 98.0 per 1,000 live births. There are 09 upazilas included in the habiganj district. These are nabiganj, habiganj sadar, ajmiriganj, madhabpur, lakhai, shayestaganj, chunarughat, bahubal and baniyachong. Download 1.22 Mb. Share with your friends:
