Virtual and Augmented Reality.Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are two of the most promising technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is happening right now. With virtual reality (VR), users put on special headgear to enter a computer-generated world. With augmented reality (AR), on the other hand, users get the illusion of extra graphic layers on top of a real-world view (Pierdicca et al., 2020: Soltani & Morice, 2020) The two technologies are often combined (a term often used for "mixed reality") to make huge applications that aren't limited by location, time, or size. This helps people learn more, work better as a team, communicate better, and make better decisions guides. Genay et al., (2021) opined that even though augmented reality (AR) is still in its early stages and doesn't have a full set of technical it is a good example of industry 4.0 because it combines analogue and digital, as well as open and closed systems. Since the 1990s, most people who use virtual and augmented reality do so in the field of education (Sahu et al., 2021). In recent years, virtual reality (VR) has been used to teach and train people online. For example, a virtual plant-operator training module is used to better prepare plant operators to handle emergencies (Shamsuzzoha et al., 2021). Technicians have been able to fix and maintain complex machines like hydraulic breakers by using augmented reality (Gattullo et al., 2019). Tourism, retail, fashion, business, marketing, storytelling, healthcare, defence, design, and development are just some of the other fields that could benefit from virtual and augmented reality technology. Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Espon are the main companies pushing for virtual and augmented reality to get better. Augmented reality smart glasses like Google Glass, Microsoft HoloLens, Apple Headset, and Espon Moverio Pro BT-2000 are now on the market (Poláček, 2020). Download 2.1 Mb. Share with your friends:
