Seminar on NEPAD/AU

Sao Paulo and Brasilia


To invite speakers from South Africa (or other African countries) and Brazil.

Collaboration with Forum Africa, an Afro-Brazilian organisation, to deal with the theme of NEPAD/AU and South Africa's role since the inception of its democracy in 1994.


Seminars on Human Rights and Poverty Eradication


In various Brazilian centres

To create linkages and partnerships between South Africa and Brazil in achieving both the respect for human rights and poverty eradication and to celebrate South Africa's successes in these fields during the ten years of her democracy.

To be conducted at Ministerial level.
Exhibition/Photographic Exhibition

To launch a photographic gallery of contrasts of South Africa past & present, as well as an exhibition of South Africa Art to reflect change and transformation including milestones of achievements. The project is intended to be mobile and thus to be taken to as many states around Brazil as is possible throughout the year.


South Africa vs. Brazil Soccer Match / Musical Event


Rio de Janeiro

To celebrate the South American support for South Africa's 2010 bid

To be accompanied by a major musical featuring prominent South African artistes
