Evidence: Many studies on the consequences of video gaming believes that there is a significant gap between gaming time and gaming addiction. Previous research has also shown that elements such as despair and anxiety may create addiction, making it difficult to attribute addiction only to poor time management. Thus, students who have showed signs of gaming addiction were not allowed to participate in this study.

It is clear from this research study that playing video games has several detrimental consequences for students who do not control how long they play.
