From Jerez de la Frontera to Algar (LOS AMARILLOS Company).
MEETING POINT.- The first day at 14:30 h. in the bus stop of
Algar. The volunteers will be transfered from here to the
´Cortijo Rotiján´ by bus. If you arrive later, you will be
picked up in Jerez de la Frontera.

THINGS TO BRING.- Sleeping bag or blanket, work clothes,
sportswear, sports and work shoes, canteen, knapsack, lantern,
bathing costume, sandals for the water, personal toiletteries,
towel, hat, sun protection cream, European Health Card for EU
volunteers.
Optional, although are important to bring: information, music,
food or typical drink of its place of origin for the activity
celebration of the towns.
SPECIFIC GOALS.-
Contribute to the maintenance and diversification of the teaching
resources available to Montes de Jerez for use with the
schoolchildren and general public.
Improve the state of a suite of elements in the mountain habitat
of the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales to facilitate explicative
activities and through them the knowledge of the rural and
mountain culture of this part of Cádiz province.
Improve the explicative and teaching aspects of the public
footpaths in Montes de Propios de Jerez.
Informing residents of Algar on the activities developed at the
camp.
Contributing to the knowledge of environmental and social
features of the Parque Natural de los Alcornocales (Alcornocales
Nature Park) and the province of Cadiz.
Increasing young people´s awareness on the importance of
protecting the environment.
Enjoying contact with nature amid a natural setting and, at the
same time, respecting the surroundings.
Facilitating cohabitation of youths, and an exchange of
experiences among people with different backgrounds.
PROFILE - COMMITMENTS OF PARTICIPANTS.-
Working free of charge for the days and at the times agreed in
the project.
Assisting in the development of entertainment activity planning,
and taking part in these activities.
Contributing to the overall organisation of the camp, and to
related tasks (e.g., cleaning up).
Respecting different beliefs, ideologies and personal differences
of all persons taking part in the Camp.
Staying on the camp, from the beginning to the end of the
scheduled activity.
Respecting the internal rules and regulations, and cohabitation
rules at each Camp, which include, among other rules: following
instructions delivered by activity managers, generally complying
with timetables, and not using private vehicles for the duration
of the workcamp.
Failure to abide by established rules may result in expulsion
from the workcamp.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Nursery Canfranc Recovery and rebuilding dry stone walls, within
the framework of maintenance, cleanliness and value in a series
of historical elements that are in the valley slopes
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES:
Environmental research activities: walks, environmental
interpretation, reading the landscape, fauna, flora,
geomorphology, anthropology.
Mountaineering activities: two crossings in the area of necklaces
and Canal Roya-Ip-Anayet.

The refuge has a large dining room with wooden tables, which can
be used as a multipurpose room, local events, meetings, etc..
Moreover, there is another room with TV, computers for public
use, video, games, music and more., Where you can make all kinds
of recreational or educational activities.

or next to them)
Multipurpose room with games, TV, PC, DVD, VCR, etc..

Recreation area on the outside.
Necessary sleeping bag or set of sheets.
Food as homemade recipe, abundant, and designed to meet the needs
of adults who perform physical activity. It is produced by
professional staff of the facility itself, which exists in the
kitchen appliance that effect. The dining room is large and is
connected to the kitchen. Each group is organized according to
your dining needs, ensuring the preparation of the tables, the
food, and its total collection to stop eating
LOCATION:
Canfranc (Huesca).
Canfranc Station is located at an altitude of 1200 meters from
the level of the sea and is one of the most senior and Pyrenees
in the province of Huesca.
Located a few kilometers from the border with France and is
crossed by the Camino de Santiago which has historically been
great works rather than state for the defense of Spanish
territory, the establishment of superstructure works and
transport and electricity production holdings through
hydroelectric plants.
To protect these structures and the people that built and
maintains the Spanish state has done impressive work on the sides
mountain rising 1,000 meters above Canfranc.
For avalanche of snow and rocks do not end up destroying the
lives of the valley, in the early twentieth century were two
major interventions: hundreds of levees for protection from
avalanches and replant millions of trees.

Description of Workcamp:
REGION.- Region of Aragón. Province of Teruel.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK.- The tasks os this Work Camp consist of two
phases:
1st TECHNICAL PREPARATION:
Learn the different necessities that people with intellectual
disabilities have to access in their countryside due to their
difficulties with location of places and positions.
Arrive at the place where we are working and realize the
signspost necessities.
Assignement of tasks to execute depending on the wide range of
capacities and skills.
2nd WORK
Execution of manual tasks which are recquired to prepare and mark
several paths: clean up the rubbish, remove the most important
obstacles that blocks the paths or that make difficult to walk in
them, such as rocks...), make 4 sculptures and several signposts
and other type of signs.
Develop the ´quality control´ with invaluable collaboration of
intellectual disability people from the work camp and from the
ATADI- Kalathos Center.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES.- Visit Santolea´s
swamp, Molinos Crystal Caves, the town of Teruel, Aguaviva´s
river and its natural pools (camp), Calanda´s Desert
(Monastery), San Miguel´s Church (Stargazing). Water activities
in the swimmingpool (free admission all days), traditional events
in the nearest villages, ...
Visit and take part in the Festival Theatre ´Frutos Festival´
(Music and Circus) in Foz Calanda on the 21th and 22th of August.
ACCOMMODATION/FOOD.- Youth Hostel ´Kalathos´ in Alcorisa, with
a capacity of 60 beds, will provide accommodation for every
participant.
The rooms have 4 or 6 beds with a bathroom. This Youth Hostel,
also has a spacious dining room, a living room, a game room, wifi
area and access to a gym and sports facilities.
Local cooks, prepare the homemade food, that is based on
Mediterranean diet, with de possibility to adapt to any specific
diet according to necessities. Every place in rooms, will be
designated by direction depending on the vacant places.
LOCATION.- Alcorisa is a village of 3,600 inhabitants that is
located in the Comarca del Bajo Aragón in Teruel. The center of
the village is placed near the river Guadalopillo, at the Sierra
del caballo´s foot, where there are many shelters and caves.
Alcorisa is surrounded by fiels of olive trees, pine forests,
fields of cereal, peach trees and a small variety of herbs. There
are also, many places of cultural interest: The Calvary Mount,
where are performed the drama of the Cross at Easter, Gallipuen¿s
Swamp, Guadalopillo River Park, Peña de San Juan...
Summer in Alcorisa usually is scorching for days and warm at
nigts, althoug it depends on the year.

together in a multicultural and functional diversity group.
PROFILE - COMMITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS.- Young people who are
sensitive to environment, eager to contribute with their time
voluntarily to mark local paths in Alcorisa, so can be used to go
hiking, specially designed for intellectual disability people.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.- Kalathos Foundation is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to social services to the community and
especially to take care of intellectual disability people and/or
at risk of social exclusion.
For Kalathos Foundation the promotion and preservation of the
environmet is a main objective to work, so carry out a numerous
kind of activities that include people with intellectual
disabilities.
In the work camp we want to signpost the path next to the river
Guadalopillo. This path goes from the village of Alcorisa towards
the village of Foz Calanda.
Previously, the sgnpost will be designed by intellectual
disability people who work at ATADI-Kalathos Occupational
workshop in Alcorisa. The raw material that will be used, it will
be wood recycles froem the forests that were destroyed by fire
which devasted our province the past summer.
The sculptures symbolize the pictures of the Iberian vessel named
´Kalathos´. These sculptures, also will be made with recycled
wood recovered after fire, and other recycled materials too. That
will be placed in the route in order to help us recognize where
we are.

Description of Workcamp:
REGION.- Region of Aragón. Province of Zaragoza.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK.- To review and maintain public spaces
located in the different municipalities of the comarca of Daroca.
The work will consist of the cleaning of places, parks, green
zones, walking paths,... of the different villages of the
comarca, retrieving foliage, remains of cuts of prunning work,
sowing other plants, trees, in order to recover and preserve the
natural zones of the region, in addition there will be realized
the maintenance of the signposting of trails, indicating places
of interest, rest areas, alternative routes ...
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES.- Guided visit in
Daroca, Anento and the close natural space of the Aguallueve.
Visit around the Gallocanta Lagoon Natural Reserve. Visit to
Herrera de los Navarros, Teruel and Dinopolis Theme Park.
Cocktail and healthy treats Championship. Swimming and Aquatic
Activities in Pool of Daroca. Excursion in the Daroca Pine
Forest. Evening Soirées with games. Visit to the Murero Winery.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK.- Road´s maintenance and cleanness, clearing
the ways, fixing land marks, signaling, to settle the paved road
and the value enhancement, recovery of all the access to the
road.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES.- To visit cultural
places in Santillana del Mar, Comillas, Santander, Llasca de los
Moros, El Soplao caves, Neocueva Santillana del Mar caves, to
practise snorkel, pirogues, to do workshop manuals, to go to San
Vicente de la Barquera´s medieval market, to play Cantabrian
bowling and petanque. Every evening spare time activities will be
carried out.
ACCOMMODATION/FOOD.- Youth Hostel of San Vicente del Monte -
Treceño - Valdaliga´ city council (Cantabria). Accomodation is
in a shelter with everything included.
LOCATION.- San Vicente del Monte.
