MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2013
The scholarship is open to all Australian residents who are starting or already undertaking an engineering degree in Australia that relates to the oil and gas industry. The scholarship is applicable in any field of engineering for undergraduate degrees and covers the remaining duration of the recipient's studies for up to five years. The award for each scholarship is for $5,000 per year up to a maximum of five years full-time or
part-time equivalent. It is intended that the scholarship will assist with costs associated with university study. In addition to the money, the scholarship includes paid vacation work experience with an APPEA member oil and gas operating company within Australia. Applications must include a statement of academic record, the names of two professional, academic or personal referees, and address the following criteria:
- Why are you applying for the APPEA Scholarship - how would it assist you in your studies?
- Why do you want to / why are you studying engineering?
- What interests you most about a career in the oil and gas industry?

Australian Awards – Scholarships for International Students
The Australian Government provided development awards and scholarships to International students from developing countries.
These scholarships are offered for the minimum period necessary for the individual to complete the academic program specified by the university or TAFE institution

Australian Maritime College
The Australian Maritime College (AMC), a specialist institute of the University of Tasmania (UTAS) offers scholarships ranging in value to over $8,000

AMC Outstanding Achiever Scholarship
Awarded to CSP students who have achieved a minimum ATAR of 96.00. The scholarship includes an accommodation package in UTAS Halls of Residence with an approximate value $8,200, plus recipients receive $1000 per semester towards educational costs. This scholarship is valid for two semesters.
Awarded to CSP students who have achieved an ATAR of between 90.00 and 95.00. The scholarship includes an accommodation package in UTAS Halls of Residence with an approximate value $8,200, and is valid for two semesters.

AMC Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship
To increase female participation in maritime engineering programs, AMC is offering great scholarships to young women. Areas of study include Marine and Offshore Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture. On offer to all female CSP students applying for maritime engineering programs, the scholarship will cover 75% of accommodation costs in the first year (estimated value $6,150). Students should attain an ATAR of between 70.00 and 89.00.

AMC Women in Seafaring Scholarships (Nautical or Engineering)
The women in Seafaring Scholarship program supports women studying for qualification in Nautical Science or Marine Engineering. CSP students will be awarded $2,000 to assist in the first phase of studies. The funds are to be used for course fees, accommodation, living or travel expenses. Eligibility will depend on all requirements being met.

ANU National Undergraduate Scholarship
Awarded to eligible CSP students who have achieved an ATAR of 99.90 and above, across all faculties. No application is required. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU will be automatically considered. Please note that this scholarship cannot be deferred. Scholarship valued at $12,500 pa.
These scholarships are available to recent school leavers who achieved excellent results in their Year 12 qualification. A minimum ATAR of 99.75 – 99.85 is required to be considered. No application is required. All eligible CSP applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU will be automatically considered. Please note that this scholarship cannot be deferred. Scholarship valued at $6,500 pa.

ANU International Undergraduate Scholarship
Several scholarships offered that cover 100% tuition fees and 100% Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) premiums for International students who are immediate school leavers and attain an ATAR of 99.60. All eligible applicants who have put in an application through UAC to ANU will be automatically considered.

ANU Foundation for Visual Arts Scholarship (for International students too)
Open to CSP students who are successful in obtaining entry to an undergraduate degree program offered by the School of Art in the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, and be deemed to be an outstanding applicant in any area of expertise of the School by the Selection Committee. No application is necessary as all new undergraduate students will be automatically considered.

ANU Ruth Pfanner Commencement Scholarships
All new applicants – CSP and International - commencing an undergraduate degree offered by the ANU School of Music will be automatically considered. No applications are required as all undergraduate students will be automatically considered. Selection will be based on an audition.
