“EVERYBODY LOOKING,” the acclaimed new album from Atlantic recording artist Gucci Mane, has made an incredible chart debut, coming out at #1 on Soundscan/Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart; his highest ranking debut to date. Gucci’s first studio album in half a decade, “EVERYBODY LOOKING” is available now in stores and all DSP’S and streaming services.

“EVERYBODY LOOKING” – which immediately topped the iTunes Store’s “Top Albums” chart upon its July 22nd release – was recorded in Atlanta over six days immediately following Gucci’s early release from prison last May, a surprise for his millions of supporters after the overwhelming public response to his spring homecoming. In addition to production by Mike WiLL Made-It (Future, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign) and Zaytoven (Usher, Nicki Minaj), the album also boasts features from Drake, Kanye West, and Young Thug. Last Friday, the album was celebrated with custom Ice Cream trucks donned with the hashtag “#EverybodyLicking” provided by Spotify. The streets were served Gucci Mane inspired ice cream cones reminiscent of his iconic face tattoo, while tracks off of the recently released “EVERYBODY LOOKING” played in the background.

“EVERYBODY LOOKING” was preceded by a number of hugely popular track releases, including “Back On Road,” the Drumma Boy-produced “All My Children,” “No Sleep (Intro),” and “1st Day Out Tha Feds. The latter track proved a true pop phenomenon, earning close to 1 million SoundCloud plays within the first 12 hours of its May 27th release. Also among the album’s countless highlights is “Guwop Home (Feat. Young Thug),” available now at all DSPs and streaming services. The track is joined by a colorful companion video, streaming now at Gucci’s official YouTube channel.

Guwop Home (Feat. Young Thug)” received a slew of attention upon its release last month, including notice from Pitchfork, MTV News, and Rolling Stone, which praised the track’s video for “(boasting) an overload of bikinis, producer Mike WiLL Made-It jamming out on his MPC poolside, stacks of cash and a scantily clad night soccer game, all to commemorate the release of the Trap God.”

Along with its stunning popular success, “EVERYBODY LOOKING” has also accrued a ream of positive press, with Pitchfork praising Gucci’s “hypnotic songwriting and a flow pattern that’s yet to suffer from overexposure.” “There is a noticeable goal,” wrote Hot New Hip Hop, “reclaiming his spot, staying out of trouble, and proving his legacy – that sets (“EVERYBODY LOOKING”) apart from the rest of Wop's discography.” Consequence of Sound singled out the album’s “Gucci Please” and “1st Day Out Tha Feds,” noting that they “work their repetition to sink into your brain rather than bash it, fitting with Gucci’s straightforward flow.” “EVERYBODY LOOKING” is “evidence that the evolved Gucci is ready to get back to business as usual,” declared Complex. “This quick turnaround is proof that he hasn’t changed his approach to output, specifically prolifically and speedily feeding fans with hook-heavy trap anthems.”

“There’s less party and more perspective,” applauded The Boston Globe, rightly pointing out, “Minaj, Waka, Thug, Migos, Rich Homie Quan, and a long list of others are indebted in some way to Gucci.” NOISEY raved about “one of the best opening moments of any rap record in recent memory… He may be more at peace with his personal demons, but Gucci Mane is still funny and defiant.” “The unspoken party line among rap fans is that jail kills a hot streak,” raved Vulture. “Gucci Mane breaks the paradigm on EVERYBODY LOOKING with an hour of raps that careen from his trademark entrepreneurial cockiness to perfect honesty about his shortcomings, and back…Gucci seems revitalized, but not just in the details of his story. There’s a boyish whim in the delivery that was missing from the pre-incarceration material. The rhymes are tighter and punchier. He sounds healthy and happy…now that Gucci Mane is finally selling a major-label studio album that shows off every bit of his worth, “EVERYBODY LOOKING” has every right to roll out like a coronation.”

To much excitement, Gucci recently revealed his spot as the cover star of The Fader’s Fall Fashion Issue. In addition, he celebrated the arrival of “EVERYBODY LOOKING” with “Gucci Mane & Friends,” his first full-scale live performance since his release. Held July 22nd at Atlanta, GA’s world renowned Fox Theatre, the star-studded concert extravaganza saw the Trap God joined by an array of surprise special guests, including Fetty Wap, OJ Da Juiceman, 2 Chainz, Future, and Drake, who personally welcomed Gucci home before busting out versions of “Back On Road” and “Believe It Or Not.” The concert was live streamed exclusively online through Revolt TV; proving to be Revolt TV’s largest live stream to date. In addition, Revolt TV premiered the show last Thursday, July 28. The concert received rave reviews across the national media, hailed by Billboard as “yet another win...It’s safe to that Gucci is back (although he never really left) and has reclaimed his Trap God throne.” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution summed it up best: “If anyone doubted it, he’s back.”

Widely ranked among the most gifted rappers of his generation, Gucci has been incredibly productive since his long incarceration; this highlighted in a major profile piece in the New York Times which ran in July 24th’s Sunday paper. Some of Gucci’s major moves since release include performing at a sold out “Welcome Home Party” at Atlanta’s Mansion Elan; appearing in a recent promo video for SUPREME; contributing to the blockbuster new single, “Champions,” performed by Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Yo Gotti, Quavo & Desiigner; and announcing his new Delantic clothing line, with complete details to be revealed soon. As if that weren’t enough, Gucci was further greeted upon release with news of three new RIAA gold sales certifications for his classic 2009 album, “THE STATE VS. RADRIC DAVIS’ and its two hit singles, “Wasted” and “Spotlight (Feat. Usher).”
