Happy holidays to everyone!

Northeastern Natural History & Supply is pleased to offer our latest list of rare, antiquarian and out of print books and serials. List XIX includes approximately 425 works in all disciplines of mammalogy including 150 works on marine mammalogy. Titles cover disciplines of taxonomy and classification, identification and morphology, anatomy and physiology, distribution and biogeography, habitat and ecology, hunting and whaling, exploration, and vertebrate paleontology. Although there are no exceptionally rare works, some noteworthy items include the Pachydermes volume of Jardine’s Naturalist’s Library (1836), several volumes of Chenu’s Encyclopédie D’Histoire Naturelle, four volumes from the U.S. Federal Government “Pacific Railroad Surveys” conducted during the 1850s, and a hard to find four volume London edition of Richardson’s Museum of Natural History. Also included are 32 beautifully rendered original mammal prints form John James Audubon’s 1849-54 Octavo edition of Quadrupeds of North America and a superb framed original lithograph from Audubon’s Imperial Quadrupeds Folio.

Thanks to all of you and enjoy the winter (northern hemisphere) and summer (southern hemisphere) holiday seasons.
