Employed to repair and create new web pages for their sites as well as maintain and edit existing web pages.
Responsibilities:

Maintaining and creating pages within the go-givers and g-nation websites, namely www.gogivers.org and www.g-nation.co.uk.

Repairing and maintaining of the Go-Givers Website, which included fixing the footers, making sure the pages validate, fixing JavaScript errors and changing key parts of the website.

Employed to repair and upgrade this particular website. This website project required that I fix the footer so that all the web pages within the site had the same footer and header and that the look and feel of the website was maintained throughout the website. Apart from fixing and upgrading responsible for creating a few web pages for the teacher registration, example lessons and case studies. The website was developed using Coldfusion, HTML, DHTML, XML, T-SQL, Flash, JavaScript and CSS and is using a MySQL database for the content. The backend and front end of the website is complete, fully function and validated using the W3C validation site (http://validator.w3.org). The front-end was maintained using Photoshop CS2, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.0 and Macromedia Flash 8.0. The website was developed using Coldfusion as the back-end to retrieve the content from within a MySQL database.

Engaged to repair and enhance this website. This website project required the addition of a few images and logos that link to other websites. Most of the items that needed to be edited were in the CMS. This website was developed and maintained using Coldfusion, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS and is using a MySQL database for all the content within the page. The front-end was maintained using Photoshop CS2, Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.0 and Macromedia Flash 8.0. The website was developed using Coldfusion as the back-end to retrieve the content from within a MySQL database.
Achievements:

Creating the registration page boosted the number of teachers registering and limited the amount of teachers re-registering giving more of a fluid and easy solution for them.

Creating the case studies which includes image cropping and allows the teachers to upload one to many case studies. The rewards of this will only be seen within the next few months and is expected to boost the site attendants.

Java Web Report Developer
Employed as a Java Developer to create and maintain JSP Web Reports and make sure they met specified requirements.

Create and maintain that all the above intranet website reporting systems are translatable and that it’s exportable CSV files works correctly and is producing the results that were required.

IXP120/IXP200/IXP300/IXP400/Impronet System – Web Report Development
The IXP300/IXP400/Impronet System was the major access control system for Impro Technologies whereas the IXP120 and IXP200 systems where the minor systems with fewer door allocations, combinations and java web reports. Although all the systems were different in looks and amounts of web-produced reports they had, they all had the concept and used the same technologies. I had to develop and maintain these intranet web reporting system within the main program, which used the following technologies: JSP, Apache, Velocity, CSS, HTML, DHTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, Interbase Firebird, SQL 2000, Oracle 9i, PL/SQL, T-SQL, J2EE, J2SE, Swing. I was required to do both the backend and front-end development of these web reports, which also included me having to use Photoshop CS2.

Timesheet Web Report
The Timesheet Web Report that I solely developed is an intricate web report, which was developed to show every cardholder’s first valid IN and last valid OUT transactions and calculate the hours worked. The Timesheet web report is able to calculate night-shift hours. During the development of this report I used the following technologies: JSP, Apache, Velocity, CSS, HTML, DHTML, Java, JavaScript, Interbase Firebird, SQL 2000, Oracle 9i, PL/SQL, T-SQL, J2EE, J2SE.
Achievements:

The advanced timesheet report was able to secure a job deal with one of the largest car producers in Durban, South Africa, namely Toyota.

The new web reports were considered a vast improvement and the design was introduced to more of the web reports.
