“LUV IS RAGE 2,” the hugely acclaimed new album from Generation Now/Atlantic recording artist Lil Uzi Vert, has made an historic chart debut, arriving at #1 on the Billboard 200 as well as Billboard’s “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” and “Top Rap Albums” charts in excess of 135.2K total consumption after its first week in release. “LUV IS RAGE 2” is available now at all digital music retailers and streaming services. Lil Uzi Vert was among the big winners at last weekend’s MTV Video Music Awards, taking home the coveted “Song of the Summer” honors for his blockbuster single, “XO Tour Llif3,” while also memorably uniting with fellow superstar Ed Sheeran for a once-in-a-lifetime performance of the 3x platinum certified hit. The instantly legendary collaboration – which pairs “XO Tour Llif3” with Sheeran’s own smash, “Shape of You” – is streaming now via MTV. Continuing to ride its wave, LUV dropped the official companion video to “XO Tour Llif3” on his YouTube channel. In addition, Uzi heralded “LUV IS RAGE 2” with an exclusive interview with Beats 1 Radio’s Zane Lowe, streaming now via YouTube and Apple Music. With “LUV IS RAGE 2,” Lil Uzi Vert has crafted a collection sure to be hailed as a hip-hop milestone in years to come. Featuring production from such longtime collaborators as Maaly Raw and Generation Now co-founder Don Cannon, the album sees the Philadelphia-based rapper weaving lonely emo, lean psychedelia, and tightly-wound trap wordplay with widescreen vision unlike anything in his prior canon. “I took this more seriously than anything in my whole life,” says Uzi. “There’s a difference between mixtapes and albums. I’ve done mixtapes. I worked a ton on this though. I wasn’t playing.
