3. Finland

The following steps will be performed during an eCall reception

1. 
   The PSAP receives an incoming Call with the eCall flag
   
2. 
   The PSAP eCall switch hardware receives the MSD and sends it to the system
   
3. 
   The system decodes the MSD [and adds VIN information]
   
4. 
   The PSAP Operator accepts the call on the phone
   
5. 
   The operator’s PSAP software retrieves the MSD information which is displayed on the screen
   
6. 
   The operator talks to the caller to find out additional information about injuries and other background information
   
7. 
   The PSAP immediately notifies of the accident for the needed rescue forces and medical units and police
   
8. 
   Emergency services notify the PSAP of the course and end of the operation, as well as consequences of the accident. The PSAP creates a comprehensive report.
