Alice M. Edmonds , age 81, 109 Five Oaks Drive, Johnson City died Sunday, May 26, 2002 in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. Mrs. Edmonds was a native of Pulaski, Virginia and was a daughter of the late Earley Malcolm and Nancy Bell Gravley. Mrs. Edmonds was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Wytheville, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Edmonds in 1993; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Ruth Hoff, Johnson City, Patsy Jane Huff, Crestview Hills, KY; two sons, Jessie Lent Edmonds, Crestview, FL, George Malcolm Edmonds, DeFuniak Springs, FL; one brother, Earley Eugene Gravley, Pulaski, VA; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Notice
The funeral service for Alice M. Edmonds, age 81, 109 Five Oaks Drive, Johnson City who died Sunday, May 26, 2002 will be conducted Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at 7:00 PM in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Dobler and Pastor Scott Taylor officiating. Graveside committal services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in Sanders Cemetery, Wytheville, Virginia. Those planning to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM Wednesday. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Evangelization in Eastern Europe, 901 Wilson Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604, for the Dawn of Light Home for Boys, Skopje, Macedonia. EDMONDS, Diamond Mosco, 67, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, March 26,
2001 in Johnson City, Tenn. Survivors include a brother, Ronald Edmonds of
Lawrenceville, Ga.; four sisters, Thelma O'Dell Page and Lorene E. Lytton,
both of Christiansburg, Faye Lilly of Dublin, and Margaret Harrell of Mt.
Airy, N.C.; a stepson, Gary Worrell of Florida; a stepdaughter, Patsy
Burgess of Courtland, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services
will be held Friday, March 30, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home
in Radford with Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn
Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg where members of V.F.W. Post #776 will
conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6
until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

EDWARDS, George Arthur III, (Rusty), 56, of 4009 Lead Mines Road, Hiwassee, Va. (the Snowville Community), went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2003. He was born in Pulaski County on November 11, 1946 and was the son of the late George Arthur Edwards Jr. He was a retired Fire Chief with R.A.A.P. in Radford, a volunteer with the Snowville Fire Department and Rescue Squad, and he was past Grand Master of the Snowville Masonic Lodge. He was retired from Wackenhut Services. Mr. Edwards was a lifetime member of the Pulaski County Life Saving Crew. He was a member of the REMSI Board and Lay Speaker at Cecil's Chapel United Methodist Church, Snowville. Mr. Edwards was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Quesenberry Edwards of Snowville; son and daughter-in-law, George Arthur (Dusty) Edwards IV and Dee Dee Edwards of Pulaski; son, John David Edwards of Snowville; mother, Katherine Jones Edwards of Draper; grandsons, Dillon Edwards, Dakota Edwards and Wyatt Edwards; sisters, Sandy Edwards of Roanoke and Janis Fender of Sparta, N.C.; brother, Steve Edwards of Dublin; mother-in-law, Sophia Mildred Q. Hall of Snowville; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 2 p.m. from the Dublin United Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Clifton officiating. Burial will follow in the Page Cemetery, Snowville. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, July 15, 2003 from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Snowville Fire Department or to the Cecil's Chapel United Methodist Church. George Gilmer Edwards, age 64, of Tazewell, Va. died suddenly Thursday night at his home of a heart attack. He was born in Wise County the son of the late Guy and Rosa Semones Edwards. He had been an employee of the Pocahontas Fuel Corp at Bishop, Va. for thirty years, retiring two years ago. He had also been a resident of Bishop for about twenty two years and a resident of Tazewell for the past eight years. He was a member of the UMW of local Union 6025. He is survived by his wife the former Etta Mae Blankenship and one sister, Mrs. Mary Goad, Pulaski, Va. Funeral services were conducted from the Pisgah Methodist Church Saturday morning at 11 am with the Rev. W. E. Mustard in charge. Interment took place in the Grandview Memory Gardens at Bluefield, Va. Hurst Scott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers: Gibson Sword, Garnet Yates, Marshall Davidson, Eli Jones, Henry Kinser and Dr. T. R Barrett. Honorary Pallbearers were: D. P. Earnest, John Quesenberry, John Lawson, Charlie Perkins, EE Crockett and JH Crockett.

EDWARDS, Ronald Ronnie Whitt, 40, of 1378 Lakewood Drive in Pulaski, died Monday, August 14, 2000 in Montgomery Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 10, 1960 in Beaumont, Texas, he was the son of the late Maxine Stukes Edwards and Marshall Whitt Edwards. He was a receiving manager for Sears in Christiansburg, Va., and was a 1978 graduate of Little Cypress High School in Mauriceville, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Lesa Jackson Edwards, of Pulaski; and a two year old son, Michael Grey Edwards, of the home. Also survived by one brother, Randall Creighton Edwards, of Austin, Texas. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the West End Cemetery in Wytheville, Va. with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Visiting will be anytime Tuesday after 2 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home in Pulaski where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The family is accepting flowers, but for those who wish to make memorial contributions, they may do so to the American Cancer Society New River Valley Unit (P.O. Clara “Doodle” Allison Edwards, age 69, of Barren Springs, Va. passed away Thursday, July 17, 2003 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born in Wythe County April 22, 1934, daughter of the late Grat and Mollie Saferight Allison. She was a former employee of Jefferson Mills. Surviving are: her husband, Millard E. Edwards of the home; one son, Donnie Edwards, Albemarle, N.C.; one granddaughter; two sisters, Frances Chrisley, Barren Springs, Ruby Horton, Draper; one half-sister, Kathryn Brown, Fla.; two half-brothers, Oscar Allison, Richmond, Richard Allison, Hurt, Va. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at the Reese Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the family cemetery. 83, died Sunday in the V. A. Hospital Salem. He was the retired secretary and purchasing agent for Pulaski Furniture Corporation after 41 years of service. He was a member of the First Christian Church, a former member of the Pulaski Town Council, a member of the American Legion, the Pulaski Masonic Lodge, and exalted ruler of the Pulaski Elks Lodge and a veteran of War I
Surviving are his wife Grace HAVENS EGGERT; one daughter Mrs. Elaine E. HOPKINS, Orlando, Fla; one son Howard Havens EGGERT, Wauson, Ohio; five grandsons, Phillip W. FREEMAN, David L. FREEMAN, William H. EGGERT, all of Columbus, Ohio, Rev George H. FREEMAN Roanoke; Steven L. EGGERT, Rochester, NY; five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Maynard Powell officiating, assisted by the Rev. George FREEMAN. Wednesday morning, June 20, 2001. Born May 10, 1924 in the Snowville
Community of Pulaski County. She was the daughter of Walter Earl Blaine and
Mary Alberta Dickerson Phillips. She was employed by Virginia Maid Hosiery
Mill for over 30 years before retiring in 1984. She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Douglas Silvers Elkins, daughter-in-law, Lita A.
Elkins; son-in-law, Jim Viers, Sr.; sisters, Alma "Jackie" Davidson, Cora
Brunella, Billie Phillips, Effie Alexander; brothers, Landon "Phil" Phillips
and Ed Phillips. She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Patricia "Pat"
E. Viers of Dublin, Alberta "Bertie" E. and Clarence "Sonny" Arrington, Jr.

2000, at his residence. He was born in Wythe County, the son of the late
Dallas G. and Hallie Burnett Eversole. He was a member of the Austinville
Assembly of God Church where he served as a deacon and trustee and he has
been faithful in his nursing home ministries throughout the area. He was the
owner / operator of Randolph Eversole & Sons Well Drilling Company. He was
preceded in death by a brother, Dewey G. Eversole. He is survived by his
wife. Donna Holland Eversole; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Barry
Fisher of Max Meadows; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Terry and Sharon
Eversole of Pembroke, Michael and Sheila Eversole of Max Meadows, Jeffrey
and Jennifer Eversole of Dublin; sisters, Irene Mobellini of Wytheville,
Evelyn Eversole of Max Meadows, Lois Whisman of Ovilla, Texas, Carolyn

Tuesday, December 26, 2000, at 1 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the
Rev. R. J. Reynolds, the Rev. Ival Mitchell, and the Rev. Larry Barnes
officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

Charles Henderson FALDEN 69 died today at his home on East Fifth street after a long illness. He was a resident of this community for 50 years.
He is survived by his widow & two sons, Cogel & Clarence, of Pulaski; one sister Mrs. J.D. EDWARDS of St. Augustine, Fla; three brothers J.B. FALDEN of Roanoke, and F.H. & W.H. of Pulaski & eight grandchildren.
