Anita’s gang is watching team leaving from behind a pillar. One guy accompanies her gang. When Sanjit has left with his team Anita’s gang comes out from behind the pillar and walks. Waiters are passing. Girls slow down and look at waiters cross-eyed. Waiters don’t doubt them. Girls arrive at team’s rooms. They stand outside and wait for waiters to go. After waiters have left they take out duplicate keys from their pockets and open doors. Go in and gently shut doors. Girls place photographs of women, perfumed handkerchiefs with lipstick stains and lingerie in cupboards, wardrobes and under sofas. All get out. Last girl is coming out from room and see other girls waiting for her. LAST GIRL Ho gaya.

Just get out. Four turn sad and leave. SAME TIME - OUTSIDE COACH’S ROOM SANJIT Yeh sab kaise ho gaya? SUNIL Pata nahi yeh cheeze humare kamaro me kaise aayi? CUT-TO: RECEPTIONIST’S DESK Four are standing at receptionist’s desk. RECEPTIONAIST Nahi sir. Aap ke kamaro me koi nahi jata hai. INT. NIGHT - PLAYERS' ROOMS Sanjit, Sunil, Vijay and Anil are thinking. Sad BG music plays. CUT-TO: Sad BG music continues to play. They are drinking at bar. Day ends. Sad BG music continues. Next day guys go on playground and see others playing. Others ignore them. Coach is coaching others and ignores them too. The four go away from there and go to their hotel rooms. They stare at sunset from window. They see their cricket kit and put it away sadly. They see pictures of their girlfriends and talk to them on phone. They watch cricket on TV and look sad. Sad BG music ends. CUT-TO: CAFE Anita and her gang are sitting inside cafe. Australian coach Stevens enters and sits on different table with his guys. They text each other. Anita writes first. Coach Stevens reads it aloud. Message on phone: “Kaam ho gaya.” Stevens writes a message and sends to Anita’s phone. Anita reads it aloud. Message on phone reads- “Well done. Aage ka plan mere phone me hai.” Anita activates Bluetooth on her phone and downloads the plan. Opens it and reads aloud. Message on phone- “World cup ko ab ek hafta baki hai. Hamara saman playground par pahocha dena. Packing achhi honi chahiye. Ladakiyo ko sari bate samajha dijiye. Kisi cheez ki zarurat ho to hume kahiyega. Game khatm hone tak playground par ruko nahi. Baki bate baad me karenge. Good luck.” Anita shuts phone and gets up. Coach Stevens gets up too. Both walk toward each other. Stevens gives her one envelope. She opens it and sees money inside and closes it. They walk and go out of hotel. EXT. DAY - CRICKET PLAYGROUND Coach Singh is talking to his new team. SINGH (solemnly.) Aap sab ko pata hi hoga ki humane Sanjit, Sunil, Vijay aur Anil ko team se bahar kar diya hai.
Kya unhe vapas lane ka koi chance nahi hai coach? SINGH Nahi. Ab team ka daromadar aap logo par hai. Hume bahot kadi mahenat karani hogi. Aaj se aap logo ki final training shuru ho rahi hai. Aap sab ko apane aap ko aakhari had tak le ja kar kuchh kar dikhane ke liye taiyar rahena hoga. Apani jaan tak daav par rakhani hogi. Har cheez ko bhula kar sirf khel me apana dhyan sanjona hoga. Agar aisa kar paye to mujhe yakin hai ki jit hamari hi hogi. Just then Australian team comes on playground. They stare at Indian team. Coach Singh looks at foreigners calmly and then looks at his team sternly. Team is staring back at the Australian team. Sanjit, Sunil, Vijay and Anil come on playground and stare at Australian team. Coach shuns them. Australian players laugh at four for being thrown out. It angers Anil and he shows them his middle finger. Anil’s team ignores him. Rivals finger back at Anil. COACH (looking at Anil and asking his new team.) Inhe andar kisane aane diya?
Malum nahi coach. COACH Inase kaho ki yahan se fauran chale jaye. Inake India jane ka bandobast kar diya gaya hai. One guy from team goes and tells Sanjit. Sanjit goes to talk to coach. SANJIT Coach hum ja rahe hain lekin itana zarur kahena chahate hain ki hamari koi galati nahi hai. Hum sach hi un chizo ke baare me kuchh bhi nahi janate hain. SUNIL Coach is wakt team ko hamari zarurat hai. Kya hum sari bate bhula kar… COACH Bate bhulate bhulate hi to yeh haal hua hai. Ab main agar kuchh bhulana chahata hoon to bas aap logo ko. Aap log ja sakate ho. Sanjit, Sunil, Vijay and Anil leave. BG music plays. Coach throws ball at new team and is cheering them up. They practice hard. Sad song begins to play. It’s about mistakes and defeats of life. Sanjit, Sunil, Vijay and Anil are packing up in song. They hand over keys of their rooms to hotel staff and leave hotel. Song continues. Their plane leaves airport. They reach home. Song continues playing. Their families console them. Sanjit is sitting on couch and is sad. Aarati consoles him. Sunil and Vishakha are watching team practicing in Australia on TV. It makes Sunil sad. Vishakha consoles him. Vijay is drinking at bar. Anil is reading about team in magazine and holds his head in disappointment. Song ends. SUPERSCRIPTION- AUSTRALIA Lots of conversational voices play along with worrisome background music. We see some newspapers on a table. Headline of the newspaper is- “Indian team in big trouble. Captain and three top guys are out.” Headlines of other newspapers are- “Bharat ke kaptan sahit tin khiladiyo ko team se bahar kiya gaya hai.” “Cricket jagat me sanasani fail gayi hai.” “Bharat ki team mushkil me.” “Biggest controversy in the history of cricket: Indian team changed at last minute.” “Indian team loses ground!” Coach is giving interviews and looks hassled. It shames Sanjit and his team back home. Conversational voices and worrisome BG music ends. CUT-TO: DAY - CRICKET GROUND Spirited background music plays. It goes with courage and determination, luck and hard work, pride and glory. Singh is training current team. They are doing push-ups, pull-ups, weightlifting, running, jogging, bicycling, ab exercises, jumping, rolling, sliding, fielding, batting and bowling practice. Background music continues. Coach is egging them on by shouting and showing aggression. They help and encourage each other in practice. Then they play a practice game. Both teams try to beat each other with vengeance. Game ends. Winners congratulate each other. Losers watch them. Background music turns soft. Coach goes to his room very tiredly. In next shot tired coach is sleeping on chair. He has forgotten to switch off TV. Background music ends. INT. DAY – COACH SINGH’S ROOM Coach is talking to his new team. COACH Do dino baad world cup shuru ho raha hai. I hope ki aap log thik se taiyar ho. Main ek bhi galati bardasht nahi karunga. PLAYERS Yes coach. COACH Aaj se lekar hamare final match tak aap logo ke zahen me ek hi cheez honi chahiye- cricket. PLAYERS Yes coach. COACH Good. Aur ek baat. Hume aaj sham ko world cup Inauguration party me jana hai. Wahan thik se pesh aana. Over confident nahi. Baki teams se badatamizi nahi karana. PLAYERS Thik hai coach. COACH Now leave. Players leave. INT. NIGHT - PARTY HALL Soft lounge music plays in background. Cricket teams of all nations have gathered. They are talking to each other. On stage one guy is talking about something. Camera pans and comes to coach Singh who is present with his team and is talking to them. Coach Stevens walks toward Singh. STEVENS (sorrily.) Hello Mr. Singh. I heard about your team change. I’m sorry.
Not a big deal Mr. Stevens. STEVENS How is your new team doing? SINGH (smiling.) I will tell you but I will have to kill you.
(laughing.) No. I don’t want to die.
Anyway I have to leave now. Wish you good luck. SINGH Wish you the same. Stevens leaves. An Assistant comes to tell Singh something. ASSISTANT Sir.

CUT-TO: INT. NIGHT - ANITA’S PLACE Police are arresting Anita and her gang. Thrilling BG music plays. Some girls look to run. Women constables catch them and drag them out. They put them in police van and drive. EXT. EVENING - AIRPORT Coach Stevens sits in airplane. CUT-TO: Plane flies. CUT-TO: ON TV A news reporter is reading news on TV. NEWS REPORTER ON TV Australian team ko abhi abhi khabar mili hai ki coach Stevens ne world cup shuru hone se pahele hi istifa de diya hai. Unaki jagah naye coach Mcgill ne li hai. Ab aap ko le chalate hain sidhe cricket ground par jaha team apane naye coach se milane wali hai. EXT. DAY - CRICKET GROUND The Australian team is practicing. Coach McGill walks to them. On reaching near them he introduces himself and joins them in practice. Team looks confused and worried. McGill begins coaching them. Reporters mob them for bytes. Coach and team refuse to talk to them. Their security guards take them out of ground. CUT-TO: SAME TIME - ON TV News reporter is reading news on TV. NEWS REPORTER ON TV Team ke captain Aron Smith ka kahena hai ki coach ke badalane se team par koi asar nahi padega. Dusari aur Bharatiya kaptaan Sanjit aur anya teen khiladiyo ko team me phir se jagah di gayi hai. INT. NIGHT - IN NEWSPAPERS Some newspapers lie on table. Happy background music plays. Headline of first newspaper reads - “Sanjit aur baki tino ki team me wapasi hui.” Headline of another newspaper reads- “Indian captain is back.” Third headline reads-“Indian team is back in place.” Fourth headline reads-“Sanjit Sharma is back.” EXT. STREET - DAY Indian fans are shouting pro-India slogans on street. They are holding placards showing the slogans being said. They are- “More power to India.”, “Jitega bhai jitega. India jitega.”, “Jay Ho!”, “Sanjit Sharma Zindabad.”, “Sunil Singh Zindabad.” etc. EXT. DAY– PLAYGROUND SUPERSCRIPTION– WORLD CUP BEGINS Peppy background music plays. It describes cricket fever with music of hand clapping, banging, whistles, drumbeats. We hear cricket commentary playing in background. VO OF COMMENTATOR ARUN Aap sab ka world cup ke pahele match me swagat hai. Main hoon Arun aur aaj mere sath commentary karenge Suresh. Aaj world cup ki shuruat ho rahi hai. Background music continues. We see aerial view of a different cricket playgrounds. Different teams including India are playing cricket day in and night out. (Use footage of world Cup 2006 cricket matches.) People climb on trees and terraces to peek inside stadiums. Some stop by at TV showrooms to watch matches.
