George was a farmer, and highway surveyor. It is reported that at one time he had a very painful toe, so as a remedy he cut it off with an axe. The stump of the toe still pained him considerably, and friends urged him to bury the unattached toe. He did so: this worked fine, and he had no more pain. is now OK, in 1900; r Adams, Harper Co OK in 1910. Bossie by 1910 had had 5 children, 3 living. In 1910 3 other

children were with them: Gretchen S TURNER, Cecil M TURNER, and Esther S TURNER, ages 13, 7, and 3. Also

Stella TURNER, age 15, was a servant to nearby Martin DOBBS family. [~ census ~]

There are problems in this family which I have not been able to solve.

In 1930 Albert, a farmhand in Saline, Harper Co OK was married to Grace ---, b MO 1889/90, with their

daughter Jean I (b Woodward Co OK 23 Apr 1924; d Fresno CA 1 Jun 1989), and son Chauncey. In 1940

Ruth and Albert L lived in Maricopa Co AZ, with his son Chauncey MOORE and Chauncey’s wife Rebecca.

In 1940 George PHILLIPS, b OK c 1900, divorced, was a truck driver in Selma, Fresno Co CA. [~
