Wireless Portal Solutions

Wireless Corporate Applications

  vertical industry specific applications for mobile workforce management and customer access. The enterprise applications are sold as systems for integration at the client's location, at an operator or hosted by Aspiro.
  

Examples of applications:

• 
  Aspiro Fleet Manager, which is an Internet and WAP-based application developed for transport and haulage companies. Via an Internet connected PC and a web-browser, the dispatcher has access to the product, physically residing on a server located at Aspiro's operation centre. The drivers are equipped with WAP-telephones. Aspiro Fleet Manager gives the company the possibility of communicating with and directing the drivers using non-voice means.

  Aspiro Wireless Trader, is an application, which enables stockbrokers to offer investors the possibility to trade stock in real-time, directly from a WAP telephone. Aspiro Wireless Trader is adjusted to and integrated with the stock brokers' existing financial platform.
  

Other mobile workforces, such as Repair & Maintenance, the Construction Industry and the Service Industry, may also utilise a wireless management system where information is accessible at any time directly from a WAP terminal.

Mobile Text Phone

  a service which enables text-telephone conversations on mobile telephone networks. The primary target group for this service is deaf, hearing- or speech impaired. These groups has a true need to use pocket-sized mobile telephones as they cannot use ordinary telephones, such as public booths, etc.

AU-System

AU-System, the leading Telecoms consultancy, has the worldwide exclusive rights to distribute the Ericsson WAP Browser to other manufacturers. The browser, which has been co-developed by AU-System and Ericsson, was the first commercially available component that met all requirements in the WAP 1.1 specifications. AU-System has already signed up a number of leading suppliers including LG Information & Communications and Pixo. A public demonstration version of the browser, adapted for handheld devices based on Palm OS (TM) from Palm Computing, Inc., is immediately available for free download from AU-System's web site at www.ausystem.com/wap. Recently AU-System launched a WAP 1.2 compliant version of the browser with support for a broad range of features such as Push, WTLS, and WTA. The company has also constructed a demonstration system, which allows remote control of appliances from a WAP enabled terminal communicating via Bluetooth. The combination of WAP and Bluetooth creates new possibilities for short-range wireless applications.

It provides WTLS authentication, confidentiality and integrity as a standalone application independent of the WAP gateway/server. It can be configured to re-direct WAP data traffic to any WAP server or gateway.
