As you cross the bridge, look down to spot the colorful umbrellas of cafés along the river on passage de l’Islet. Locate the stairs to walk down to river level, and plan to return here later. Take a few minutes for some great photo ops.
Stop by the Tourist Information Office on your right as you cross the bridge to pick up a good map of Bayeux and a calendar of events.
As you walk along rue St. Jean on your way to the Saturday Market, watch for ATMs, interesting shops, and places you may want to visit later for supplies for picnics or to take back to your room.
