Pete Dougherty, Green Bay Press Gazette: Neal's deal, first reported by Tom Pelissero of USA TODAY, will pay him $5 million this year, including a $2.5 million signing bonus, according to a source with access to NFL salary information. The rest of his pay this season will come from a $2 million base salary; a bonus of $18,750 for each game he's on the 46-man game-day roster, or a total of $300,000 for the season; and a $200,000 workout bonus. In 2015, Neal will receive a $1 million roster bonus on the third day of the league year, a $1.5 million salary, game-day bonuses again up to $300,000, and a $200,000 workout bonus. He will count $3.75 million against this year's salary cap and $4.25 million against the 2015 cap.

Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel: Four years, $3.71 million. Signing bonus of $1.7 million. Base salaries of $295,000 in 2008, $385,000 in ’09, $475,000 in ’10 and $565,000 in ’11. Roster bonuses of $80,000 in ’08, $83,750 in ’09, $87,500 in ’10 and $39,000 in ’11. Nelson also has a onetime incentive of $925,000 that he can earn by playing 35% of the downs in ’08 or 45% of the downs in ’09 or ’10. The $925,000 doesn’t count against the rookie pool but would count against the year it is earned. If Nelson never gets the $925,000, he has some protection in the form of $925,000 that is guaranteed from his 2010-’11 base salaries.
Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: The three-year extension Nelson received is worth $12.6 million, including a $3.5 million signing bonus. The deal places him 27th among all NFL wide receivers in average salary per year at $4.2 million. The three additional years consist of: In 2012, a $1 million base salary, a $1.5 million roster bonus, a per-game roster bonus of $200,000 and a workout bonus of $250,000. In 2013, a $2.7 million base salary, a $200,000 per game roster bonus and a workout bonus of $250,000. In 2014, a $2.55 million base salary, a $200,000 per-game roster bonus and a workout bonus of $250,000.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Nelson's signing bonus was $11.5 million. In 2014, Nelson's base salary will be $2 million. He also has a $500,000 roster bonus payable in $31,250 chunks for each game on the 46-man active roster and a $250,000 workout bonus. Under his previous contract for this season, he was to make $3.05 million in base salary, a $200,000 roster bonus payable by game and a $250,000 workout bonus. He also had a $200,000 bonus for making the Pro Bowl. The new money for Nelson also includes base salaries of $1.3 million in 2015, $5.5 million in 2016, $8.25 million in 2017 and $9.25 million in 2018; roster bonuses of $500,000 from 2015-'18 payable at the rate of $31,250 for each game on the active roster; and workout bonuses of $500,000 from 2015-'18.

Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Peppers' three-year, $26 million contract includes $7.5 million in guarantees that aren't in the form of a signing bonus. Peppers will make $8.5 million in 2014 but because $7.5 million is guaranteed — and for cap purposes prorated over the three years of the deal — the first-year cap number is only $3.5 million. If the Packers retain Peppers, his cap numbers swell to $12 million in 2015 and $10.5 million in '16. Peppers' base salaries are $1 million this year, $8.5 million in '15 and $7 million in '16. In each of the last two years, he has $500,000 workout bonuses and $31,250 per game (46-man active) roster bonuses. There are escalators in 2015 and '16 that could increase the total value.

In the second year of a two- year, $750,000 contract, Prior was due to make $260,000 in base salary plus a $100,000 reporting bonus. By releasing Prior now, the Packers aren't obligated to pay any of the $360,000 remaining on the contract. Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel: $182,425 [signing bonus]
Tyler Dunne/Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Quarless became the third unrestricted free agent to re-sign with the Packers, finalizing a modest two-year, $3 million deal that featured just $350,000 of guaranteed money… Quarless' two-year deal featured base salaries of $800,000 in '14 and $1.3 million in '15, roster bonuses of $200,000 each year and workout bonuses of $75,000 each year.

Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Sentinel-Journal: Raji's deal, reported at five years and $28.5 million, is worth only $17.7 million at its bare bones, according to two NFL sources. But if Raji plays 35% of the snaps in any year of the contract, he will receive a one-time bonus of $5.22 million, a near certainty given his likelihood of being a starter this year and beyond. That bumps the compensation up to $22.9 million. There are other features that will allow him to earn as much as $28.5 million, but he would have to be an all-pro almost immediately to do so.
5 years, $17.7 million. Signing bonus: $2.4 million. Option bonus (paid March 2010): $7 million. Total guaranteed: $17.7 million. Base salaries: $310,000 in '09, $562,500 in '10, $955,000 in '11, $1,347,500 in '12, $1,740,000 in '13, $2,132,500 in '14. Salary-cap number: $2.05 million
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Raji's one-year, $4 million contract with the Green Bay Packers contains merely $500,000 in guaranteed money. Raji's deal included a $3.1 million base salary, a $500,000 signing bonus, a $300,000 roster bonus payable in increments of $18,750 for each game on the 46-game active roster and a $100,000 workout bonus.
Aaron Wilson, NFP: The Green Bay Packers are re-signing veteran defensive tackle B.J. Raji to a one-year contract worth $3.5 million, according to a league source. Raji has a $500,000 incentive clause that could push the deal to $4 million.
Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Raji gets the $500,000 signing bonus as part of a one-year, $3.5 million deal, but he also has to be on the team or on injured reserve on opening day to earn all $1.15 million of his base salary. Raji has incentives worth $1.75 million. Raji is coming off a torn biceps tendon suffered in the third preseason game last year, and since he did not play the incentives are considered not likely to be earned and thus don't count against the cap. His salary cap number is $1.75 million.
