Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Sentinel: Three years, $174,000 signing bonus, $172,000 in 93, $215,000 in '94, and $258,000 in '95.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Dotson's new contract extension averaged $908,250. The four-year base salary of $258,000 this season was unchanged when he signed in mid-December. In return, he received a signing bonus of $825,000, base salaries of $600,000 in '96, $725,000 in '97 and $925,000 in '98, and a $100,000 reporting bonus each year.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Dotson's four-year, $13.75 million extension includes a signing bonus of $4 million; base salaries of $1.45 million in 1999, $1.75 million in 2000, $1.9 million in 2001 and $2.3 million in 2002; a reporting bonus of $250,000 in 1999; and roster bonuses of $250,000 in 1999, $500,000 in 2000, $600,000 in 2001 and $750,000 in 2002.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Dotson accepted a one-year contract that he described as at or near the veteran's minimum of $477,000. The deal also includes an incentive package based on playing time that will pay Dotson like a starter if he becomes one… The Packers waived Dotson on Feb. 27, wiping out his $1.9 million base salary and $600,000 roster bonus.
Christopher Walsh, Madison Capital Times: Dotson, a nine-year veteran, will apparently sign almost the same deal that backup quarterback Doug Pederson received last week -- one year for $650,000, of which only $450,000 will count against the salary cap. Dotson also will receive a $25,000 bonus that won't count against the cap because of the veteran-signing exemption.

Paul Domowitch, Philly Daily News: Dotson, who had just 13 sacks in three years with Tampa Bay, becomes one of the Packers' five highest-paid players (three years, $6 million, $2 million bonus).
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Dotson signed a five-year, $25.8 million contract in February 1999 that contained a $5.5 million signing bonus. Later, he agreed to reduce his base salary by $500,000 in 2000 and by $1 million in 2001, although he will make up $400,000 through incentives. At the same time, Dotson probably made a wise business decision by whacking his base salary of $4.5 million all the way to $1 million for 2002. The Packers will decide shortly after the season whether his $1 million base plus a $500,000 roster bonus due in March will be palatable. Dotson will count $1.8 million against the salary cap next year whether he's with the Packers or not. If he's cut, an additional $1.8 million would count against them either in 2002 or 2003.

Kareem Copeland, GB Press Gazette: he’ll also make $7 million this year: $1 million in a roster bonus he’s already been paid, plus a new $5 million roster bonus he received when he signed the deal, plus a $1 million base salary. He also had an offseason workout bonus of $207,000, but it was unclear how much of that he earned. In 2011, Driver will make $4.8 million: a $4.1 million salary plus a $700,000 roster bonus due on the first day of training camp. In 2012, Driver will make $4.8 million: $2.6 million in base salary and a $2.2 million roster bonus. In the final two years, he can earn $200,000 for full participation in the offseason workout program. In all three years, he can earn anywhere from $200,000 to $1.8 million in incentives based on receptions, receiving yards, average yards per catch and playing in the Pro Bowl.
Rob Demovsky, Green Bay Press-Gazette: Driver’s renegotiated contract, which was dated May 30, is worth $2.3 million. The base salary is $1.1 million, while the roster bonus is $1.2 million, the same as the guaranteed money. There are no additional bonuses or seasons added.

Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal: The Packers sent the second of their two first-round draft choices, the 17th pick overall obtained from Philadelphia, to Atlanta Tuesday for Favre, the Falcons' second-round selection (33rd overall) in the draft last year… Favre's contract, which was assumed by Green Bay, contained base salaries of $310,000 this year and $360,000 in 1993, plus a $25,000 roster/workout bonus each year.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal: The Packers are expected to make a qualifying offer to Favre of $833,000, or $110% of his $757,000 base salary in 1993, by the Feb. 17 deadline.
D. Orlando Ledbetter, Milwaukee Journal: The Packers have tendered a contracts of $882,000 to Favre.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal: the Packers won out with the five-year, $19 million contract signed by Favre. The deal contained a signing bonus of $2.5 million and a reporting bonus of $500,000, and base salaries of $1.6 million in 1994, $2.9 million in 1995, $3.6 million in 1996, $3.9 million in 1997 and $4 million in 1998.
Kent Youngblood, Wisconsin State Journal: Favre's seven-year deal is worth a reported $47.25 million over seven years, including a $12 million signing bonus. His base salary is $1.6 this season, $3.1 in 1998 and $4.3 million in 1999. Favre will get $26.25 million over the final four years, with base salaries of $5.35 million in 2000, $6.3 in 2001 and $7 in 2002, 7.6 million in 2003. The deal averages $6.75 million a year, the highest in football.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: the two sides entered into a contractual adjustment in which [Brett Favre] agreed to cut his 2000 base salary from $5.35 million to $450,000 in exchange for a $4.9 million signing bonus. By doing so, the Packers picked up an additional $3.675 million in cap room.
Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: As a result of signing a 10-year, $101.5 million contract extension Thursday, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will pocket $16.2 million in the next two years, almost all of which is guaranteed. Favre received an $11 million signing bonus as part of his lifetime contract, according to a National Football League source who viewed the document. In addition, he will make another $4 million, either as part of an incentive package after the 2001 season or a roster bonus before the 2002 season. Though the $4 million bonus is not guaranteed, there is almost no scenario under which Favre wouldn't receive the money.
To help the Packers lower his salary cap number in 2001, he agreed to a minimum-wage $477,000 base salary next season and a $723,000 salary in 2002. The $723,000 salary is guaranteed, which means Favre receives it whether he plays or not… On paper the deal lasts 10 years but for practical reasons it is worth $51.5 million over six years because the final four years have inflated base salaries that the Packers will not be able to afford… 2003: $4.3 million base salary and $3 million roster bonus. 2004: $5.5 million base salary and $3 million roster bonus. 2005: $6.5 million base salary and $3 million roster bonus. 2006: $7 million base salary and $3 million roster bonus. 2007: $11 million base salary. 2008: $12 million base salary. 2009: $13 million base salary. 2010: $14 million base salary
AP: the Packers will receive a fourth-round draft pick in 2009. The selection would turn into a third-rounder if Favre plays in 50 percent of the plays this season, a second-rounder if he plays in 70 percent and the Jets make the playoffs, or a first-round pick if he plays in 80 percent and the Jets make it to the Super Bowl.

Dan Fike
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal: The Packers assumed Fike's three-year, $2.454 million contract after acquiring him from the Browns for a conditional seventh-round draft choice. The Browns paid him a $100,000 signing bonus. The deal contains base salaries of $900,000 this year, $777,000 in 1994 and $677,000 in 1995.

Jeff Maillet/Don Walker, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Four years, $2.358 million. Signing bonus of $653,000. Base salaries of $295,000 in ’08, $385,000 in ’09, $470,000 in ’10 and $555,000 in ’11. His ’11 base salary contains an escalator that would boost the total should he still be with the team.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: The two-year, $14 million contract that tight end Jermichael Finley signed last week contains a signing bonus of just $1 million. In 2012, the deal will pay Finley $5.75 million, or $350,000 more than what the franchise tag for a tight end would have been. It includes a base salary of $950,000, a roster bonus of $3.5 million and a workout bonus of $300,000. In 2013, he can earn $8.25 million, including a base salary of $4.45 million, a roster bonus of $3.5 million and a workout bonus of $300,000. In addition, Finley would make an additional $700,000 if three things happen: He meets play-time requirements, he makes the Pro Bowl and the Packers win the Super Bowl. He will count $5.25 million against the salary cap this year and $8.75 million next year.

Tom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Mike Flanagan, C, three years, $842,000. Signing bonus of $280,000; base salaries of $150,000 in '96, $187,000 in '97 and $225,000 in '98; cap number of $234,333 in '96.
Bill Williamson, Madison Capital Times: Flanagan is making $429,000 this season.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Flanagan's new three-year contract is worth $2.254 million and averages $751,333. That isn't considered starter's money and likely wouldn't preclude the club from re-signing Frank Winters. The Packers increased Flanagan's base salary this year from $429,000 to $879,000, in effect serving as a $450,000 signing bonus. His base salary will be $440,000 in 2000 and $935,000 in 2001.
Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: The contract included a signing bonus of $2.5 million… His base salary this season of $700,000 was reduced to the veteran's minimum of $477,000. The so-called "new money" portion of the contract includes base salaries of $600,000 in 2002, $1.558 million in `03, $1.758 million in `04 and $1.908 million in `05, and roster bonuses payable March 15 each year of $500,000 in `02 and $300,000 each in `03, `04 and `05.
