Pete Dougherty, GB Press Gazette: Hawk's contract includes guaranteed money of about $16 million. The guarantees consist of a 2006 roster bonus of $1.91 million, a 2007 option bonus of $11,856,250 and portions of his base salaries. Hawk also has a minimum play-time incentive that will increase the value of the deal substantially and get it in the $36 million range. If he plays in 35 percent of the defensive snaps this year, or if he fails to do that but plays in 45 percent in any subsequent year, his base salaries for all remaining years increase. If he reaches that incentive this year, which is a given barring serious injury, the value of the deal increases from $17.6 million over the first five years to $26 million, and in the sixth year he'll make either $10 million or the franchise tender for linebackers, whichever is higher. That sixth-year salary will be guaranteed if he's on the roster on the first day of the league year, which usually is in early March.
Pete Dougherty, Green Bay Press-Gazette: Hawk’s contract includes a signing bonus of $8 million, roster bonus of $1.8 million and 2011 base salary of $1.15 million, which means he’ll make $10.95 million in 2011. If the salary cap returns in the same form it’s been since 1994, that $8 million will be prorated over all five seasons for cap calculations, so in 2011 he’ll count $4.55 million against the 2011 cap. In 2012, he’ll make $4.95 million, with $4.4 million of that in base salary, $300,000 in a roster bonus and $250,000 in a workout bonus. In 2013, he’ll make $5.45 million ($4.9 million base salary, $300,000 roster bonus and $250,000 workout bonus). In 2014, he’ll make $5.95 million ($4.9 million base, $800,000 roster bonus and $250,000 workout bonus). And in 2015 he’ll make $6.45 million ($5.4 million base salary, $800,000 roster bonus and $250,000 workout bonus). It was not immediately available whether the roster bonuses were tied to games played.
Rob Demovsky, Green Bay Press Gazette: He was scheduled to make $5.45 million in salary ($4.9 million) and bonuses ($550,000). Instead, he agreed to reduce his base salary to $840,000 and will get a roster bonus of $2.21 million, which was guaranteed. He also can receive up to $300,000 in per-game roster bonuses, getting $18,750 for each game in which he’s active. It also contains a $250,000 workout bonus. All told, it reduced Hawk’s salary-cap charge from $7.05 million to $5.2 million. In the remaining two years of his deal, he will have base salaries of $2.45 million in both 2014 and 2015 plus roster bonuses of $500,000 and workout bonuses of $250,000 in addition to $300,000 in per-game roster bonuses in each season. Meaning he would make $3.5 million in each of those seasons. He had been scheduled to make $5.95 million in 2014 and $6.45 million in 2015.

The $600,000 lump-sum payment was added retroactively to Jacke's base salary of $400,000 and $25,000 roster bonus this year, increasing his total compensation in 1993 to $1.025 million… Jacke's base salaries from 1994-'96 total $1.95 million, including $725,000 in '94.
