Duties: The Youth Policy Officer contributes to the development, implementation and subsequent evaluation of youth policy across government and non government sectors at regional, state and national level. Contribute to the development and implementation of a range of State wide youth strategies and initiatives which aim to increase young people’s participation and empowerment in the community. Provide advice, including at Ministerial level, on a range of youth related issues which supports policy development and directorate objectives. Implement/undertake projects within broadly defined guidelines. Contribute to for the delivery and maintenance of efficient work practices within the workgroup/unit.




Special Conditions: This is a part time position working 30 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. Some out of hours work may be required. A current driver's licence is desirable. Some intra/interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required. Must be prepared to be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent. Required to enter into a performance agreement for the achievement of specified outcomes.
