Alumni & Advancement Management Software


Garrett College requires an integrated solution to manage all aspects of alumni and advancement operations and workflow including, but not limited to, the maintenance of College alumni and prospect information, gift processing, statistical analysis, the cultivation and/or solicitation activities, gifts and pledges, donor correspondence, campaigns, volunteer, events, memberships, recurring gifts, matching gift identification. In addition, the solution must also include support for prospect research and analytics, honor/memorial and alumni tracking, online fundraising, and bulk mailing efficiency. Furthermore, this solution must fully integrate with proposed financial and student EIS solutions and provide the ability to integrate with external and third party systems or import data.

Web-Based Access


Garrett College requires an integrated solution to provide permission/role based access to web-based EIS functions, the ability to integrate with external and third party web-based systems, employee and self-service tools, human resources management tools, and full integration with the proposed college financials and student EIS solutions.

Reporting


Garrett College requires an integrated solution to manage the operations of permission and/or role based reporting tools, integration with proposed financial and student EIS solution, and the provision of data warehousing modules, if applicable.

Garrett College requires an integrated solution to provide comprehensive training opportunities for users for all reporting tools, including but not limited to, “trainer” training for at least two members in each department—creating, scheduling, executing, archiving, and printing reports using pre-packaged (“canned”) reports and user-built reporting operations.


Document Imaging/Workflow


Garrett College currently owns a workflow and document imaging system. Garrett College requires an integrated solution to provide permission/role based access to image stores, the ability to integrate with external and third party systems or import data from the same, methods to mass-import documents from existing digital stores or mass-import documents from paper sources via batch scanning, and fully integrate with the proposed college financials and student EIS solutions.

Database Platform with DBMS Integration


Garrett College requires an integrated solution that includes a robust, agile and secure database solution, well suited for managing the current and future information needs of the College, including support of the proposed EIS solution.7 The integrated solution must provide an open, flexible database architecture to support the data management needs, a common framework for the support of native and third party application development tools, a dynamically scalable database platform to accommodate increased user demand, and support for data warehousing for information analysis and reporting. In addition, the integrated solution must provide secure role based access control (reliable and consistent with every user type), storage technology that supports standard data types as well as text, video and audio, compliance for industry standard connectivity methods, and SSL communications, data encryption and LDAP authentication. Lastly, the integrated solution must also support comprehensive database management functionality—tools for performance monitoring, load balancing and tuning, data replication and/or database mirroring, automatic failover to a standby server, space reorganization and partitioning, hot backup and fast recovery services, activity monitoring and statistical analysis, and use of triggers and stored procedures. In addition the solution must fully integrate with proposed financial and student EIS solution and provide the ability to integrate with external and third party systems or Import data from the same.
