ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: School Residence ´Simeón Oliver´ -
Carretera Villalobos, s/n - Alcalá la Real (Jaen).
LOCATION: Alcalá la Real is located 75 km. from Jaén, and 57 km.
from Granada. The work will be carried out in the Castle of la
Mota, that is an ancien moslem fortress, rebuilt between XIII and
XV centuries. With its rich history and beautiful surrounds, the
fortress is of both historic and environmental importance. Of
further significance is its location on the important cultural
route, ´Ruta del Califato del Legado Andalusí´.

Working free of charge for the days and at the times agreed in
the project.
Assisting in the development of entertainment activity planning,
and taking part in these activities.
Contributing to the overall organisation of the camp, and to
related tasks (e.g., cleaning up).
Respecting different beliefs, ideologies and personal differences
of all persons taking part in the Camp.
Staying on the camp, from the beginning to the end of the
scheduled activity.

COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES:
Training sessions: ´The Padul Wetland and Ornithological
Station´. Introductory seminar to scientific ringing. Seminar on
the identification of aquatic birds and birds of prey. Practical
seminar on the flora and geology of the Padul Wetland. Practical
introductory sessions to the flora and geology of the Padul
Wetland.
Excursions and visits to Nigüelas (Oil Museum, Nigüelas Fault, La
Pavilla track, etc), visit to the Alhambra and the Natural Space
of Sierra Nevada.
Sports activities, team building activities. Photography

Information sessions on the field work conducted.

LOCATION: The place where the workcamp will be conducted is the
Padul Wetland, located at an average altitude of 740 metres. This
enclave belongs to the municipality of Padul, a village around 13
km distant from Granada. Its exceptional location, a stone¿s
throw away from Granada, Sierra Nevada, the Tropical Coast and
the Alpujarra, make this an ideal spot for visiting tourist
enclaves of international prestige.
The wetland belongs to the National Park of Sierra Nevada and
constitutes the only natural wetland of any extension in the
province of Granada. It maintains a wide biodiversity of flora
and wildlife in general and of bird wildlife in particular, with
one of the most extensive reed beds in Andalusia providing refuge
for large numbers of species.

LOCATION: Santiponce, with a population of approx. 8.140
inhabitants, is situated 7 Km. from the city of Sevilla. It was
built almost entirely on the ruins of the Roman city Itálica
towards the end of the 16th Century, and occupies the ancient
city´s original nucleus. A major part of Itálica unfolds in the
subsoil of the town´s historical centre. The city, founded by
Escipion in the year 206 B.C., was in fact the first Roman city
in the Iberian peninsula. Today we can admire remains of
extraordinary value: its houses with beautiful mosaics, still
paved streets, original sewers, thermae and, above all, a
magnificent amphitheatre, the Roman Empire´s third largest in
capacity. Likewise, the monastery San Isidoro del Campo is also
worth highlighting, housing extraordinary 17th and 18th Century
works of art.

Description of Workcamp:
REGION: Region of Andalucía. Province of Córdoba.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Recovery of caliphal decorative material and
other archaeological materials: cleaning, sorting and marking.
Work to support the undertakings scheduled as part of the project
for the research and relocation of these materials at different
locations on the site. Work at the various departments of the
Archaeology Site to get to know internal work, and the necessary
steps for recovery and preservation.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES:

ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: Youth Hostel ´Córdoba´ - Plaza Juda Levi
s/n (Córdoba).
LOCATION: In the archaeological site of Madinat Al-Zahra located
on the Palma de Río road, some 10mk. From Cordoba. The city
contains very significant treasures of Andalusian gum Arabic art.
Few cities can claim to have an entire ancient califal city so
nearby. Madinat Al-Zahra, an emblematic place given its rich
history, is surrounded by a large natural area where one can
enjoy nature, culture and urban pleasures at the same time, and
is considered to be one of the highlights of Islamic art, thanks
to its structure and urban layout, alongside the diversity of
materials used, the architectural solutions used and the
extraordinary wealth and quality of its decorations. It is a
magnificent legacy, which since its creation has become a legend
and represents, along with the Aljama Mosque, the essence of one
of the most important periods of history on the Iberian
Peninsula. the splendour of the caliphate; and Cordoba, together
with Baghdad, is the more important city and boasts the greatest
cultural splendour of the time, highlighting the period of the
caliph Al-haKan II.

Emphasis will placed on values such as solidarity, cooperation,
tolerance and respect; values which are rooted in the history of
the city of Cordoba, where different cultures cohabited.

expression of solidarity in modern society.
Fostering environmental values, and the respect and conservation
of nature sites in the area.
Fostering the recovery of historical heritage in order to
preserve our past as a way of understanding our present and
future.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Making totems, large pieces of clay,
representing archetypes, goddesses, gods and pre-Roman
traditions. Making small pieces recreation of the old pieces
found at the archeological site.
Making an exhibition of the pieces, placed in the archaeological
site of Segeda (Mara).
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES:

Energizing and awareness activities. Dynamic presentation.
Icebreaker games.
Games for knowledge other people, games for strengthening
relations.
Workshops to create opinion and debate on different issues.
Intercultural activities: Cooking techniques with ingredients and
celtiberians utensils; indigenous herbs used for medicinal and
cooking; ceremonies. Music, traditional dresses, dances,
celebrations; traditional games; intercultural nights.

ACCOMMODATION/FOOD: Accomodation in familiar camp tents.
Comfort food, abundant, designed to meet the needs of adults who
perform physical activity. Meals will be arranged and provided by
nearby restaurant, preparing simple menus tailored to the needs
of participants.
Will be considered special needs such as vegetarians, celiacs and
others. This information will be requested before the start of
the workcamp.
There will be a themed dinner countries, with participants who
decide to cooperate in this initiative.
LOCATION: The project is in the Espacio Lugus in Calatayud
(Aragon), an space dedicated to rural development activities. The
space is outdoors, in the place the Charquillo, 3 km from the
center of Calatayud, and has a plot of 10,000 m2
