Duties: The incumbent is accountable to the Manager Case Management for the case management of adult offenders placed on probation, parole, pre parole, bail, home detention or community service orders, and the provision of a service to Courts and the Parole Board in order to assist the offenders in adopting a non offending lifestyle. The incumbent will provide a case management service to offenders and their families through a range of programs and activities and are expected to contribute to the planning and development of best practice, and the achievement of Regional and team plans and objectives within the Northern Metropolitan Region.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: A degree level qualification in the social work discipline to a standard accepted by the Chief Executive.




Special Conditions: This is a part time position working 30 hours per week and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked. A South Australian current driver's licence is essential. Some out of hours work may be required for which time off in lieu is available.

Duties: The Institutional Social Worker is responsible to the Manager Intervention, Port Augusta Prison, for the provision of a professional social work service for prisoners and support for their families. The institutional social worker is responsible for the coordination of other social work services provided to prisoners, the provision of reports to institutional ratings and review committees, preparation of detailed background reports for the Parole Board, Prisoner Assessment Committee and other relevant bodies. In addition, provide a consulting service to correctional staff from a social work prospective on the management of offender behaviour, prisoner leave applications, and other specialist programs that may be developed. Participate in staff development activities.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: A degree level qualification in the social work discipline to a standard accepted by the Chief Executive.




Special Conditions: The position is located at Port Augusta Prison. A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential.

Duties: The Graduate Officer/Assistant Clinical Advisor under the supervision of the Clinical or Senior Clinical Advisor is responsible for conducting preliminary mental state and risk assessment examinations of persons suspected of having a mental impairment and referred to the program, as well as consulting with a range of health welfare and community services to ensure the appropriateness of services for potential and current program participants, which will address their functional mental health difficulties and their offending behaviour.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: Masters Degree in Applied, Clinical or Forensic Psychology or a recognised equivalent. Registered to practice Psychology under the South Australian Psychological Practices Act, 1973.




Special Conditions: A current driver's licence is essential. Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act 1993. Terms and conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Management Act, 1995. The Courts Administration Authority is a smoke free work environment. Some flexibility in working hours may be required, including some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel.
