Duties: The Research Services Officer Environment will be responsible to the Program Leader Environment and Ecology for providing office, field and laboratory support to the Aquaculture Management Planning project. This project involves a detailed assessment of potential aquaculture sites around the state, intensive surveys of selected aquaculture areas to determine the effects of aquaculture on the environment, an assessment of the effects of nutrient inputs on the environment, especially on seagrasses, and marine pest surveys. The appointee will be involved primarily in field and laboratory work, with some scope for participation in analysing data and writing reports for the client.
Special Conditions: The position may require intrastate travel, with periods of time being spent in the field. There will be some periods of time spent at sea on small boats. Work outside normal working hours and on weekends will be required for which a 2.8% salary loading is provided. The project is initially for 1 year.

Duties: The incumbent is accountable to the Manager Case Management for the case management of adult offenders placed on probation, parole, pre parole, bail, home detention, home detention bail or community service orders and the provision of a service to Courts and the Parole Board in order to assist the offenders in adopting a non offending lifestyle.
Special Conditions: Required to work a 37.5 hour week Monday to Friday. In addition some out of hours work will be necessary for which time off in lieu is available. Will also be required to work on a rostered system between the hours of 8:45 am – 6:00 pm to contribute towards extended hours. For CCO’s rostered to work Tuesday to Saturday a 10% allowance will be added to the salary. A current SA Driver's Licence is essential. Duties: As Custodial Specialists, members of the Dog Squad provide specialist security support to the Custodial Services Division in the: detection and prevention of drugs entering and/or in prisons; movement of prisoners as required; provision of security support to prisons; participation in components of Emergency Response Group Training and; participation in the development and implementation of drug detection strategies. The Custodial Specialist (Dog Handler) may be required to respond to a range of emergency situations involving prisoners and has the responsibility for the care and training of dogs and maintenance of equipment.
Special Conditions: Hours of duty are 38 per week rostered over seven (7) days. Country travel may be required necessitating overnight stays. Out of hours work, including rostered duty and rostered “on call” may be required. A normal day of duty is from 8 am – 5 pm. A current drivers licence is essential. A current First Aid Certificate is essential. Departmental dog/s to be kennelled at the Custodial Specialist’s residence when off duty or as arranged with the Manager, Dog Squad. Preparedness to undertake weapon training and assessment and to become licensed to carry a firearm as required. Successful completion of Dog Handler training and assessment against industry accepted competency standards for Canine Management. Custodial Specialists may be assigned to duties within institutions to perform Custodial work and will be required to interact with offenders of various security ratings, including offenders with special needs.
