Duties: The Custodial Specialist is responsible to the Industry Coordinator (Port Lincoln Prison), for the security, safety and control of prisoners, the assessment, training and advising of prisoners in all aspects of production of specified products.




Essential Minimum Qualifications: Trade qualifications in a manufacturing industry (timber products).




Special Conditions: This is a temporary position of up to 12 months or until the return of the incumbent, whichever is earlier. Hours of duty are 38 per week over 5 days, although some out of hours work may be required. The successful applicant must undergo Correctional Officer training. Initially located at Port Lincoln Prison, however, the appointee may be assigned to another location within the Department to perform duties of a similar nature or classification.

Duties: The District Ranger is accountable to the Regional Manager, The Ranges for the effective and efficient management of parks and reserves within the North Flinders District and the delivery of a range of management functions to ensure the conservation, protection and enhancement of biodiversity, the management of on park recreational services and assets, and for facilitating agreed outcomes for cooperative management with Aboriginal communities.




Special Conditions: The officer will be expected to reside in the District. Government housing may be available at Wilpena, Flinders Ranges National Park or the town of Hawker. After the initial appointment the officer may be required to relocate to and work from another centre within the Ranges Region or another region or management unit within the State. The officer will be required to wear a uniform in accordance with Departmental policy. Some inter and intrastate travel, overnight absences and out of hours work will be required. The officer may be required to travel in light aircraft from time to time and undertake aerial operations in fixed and rotary winged aircraft.
